The NFER has a high profile in this area through the research it undertakes to support the Narrowing the Gap Programme, through the Local Government Education and Children’s Services Research Programme, funded by the LGA. It also undertakes high profile work as part of the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes in Children’s Services, where the focus is on providing an evidence base for improving outcomes for children.
