Narrowing the gap
Narrowing the Gap is a two-year development and research programme, funded by the DCSF and the Local Government Association (LGA), working in a partnership with a host of other agencies. It started in June 2007 and seeks to make a significant difference, on a national scale, to the performance of children's trust arrangements - in 'narrowing the gap' in outcomes between 'vulnerable' children and the rest, against a context of improving outcomes for all children.
The NFER has been invited to provide research support for the Narrowing the Gap Programme, through the Local Government Education and Children’s Services Research Programme, funded by the LGA.
